Peyman Maadi (پیمان معادی) (born 30 July 1970) is an American-born Iranian actor, director and screenwriter. Maadi begun his film career as a screenwriter with the film Swan Song (2001). He began his acting career in Asghar Farhadi's film About Elly (2009), continuing his working relationship with the director in the film A Separation (2011), which was released to widespread critical acclaim.
