Aaron Henry
Aaron Henry, better known by the ring name HENARE, is a New Zealand professional wrestler signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he has competed since 2016 and is a member of United Empire. He debuted in 2008 with Impact Pro Wrestling (IPW) after turning down a place on New Zealand's Commonwealth wrestling team to pursue professional wrestling. A former national champion in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and submission wrestling, he wrestled as Toa Henare and Aaron Henare before adopting the HENARE ring name and a traditional tā moko face tattoo in 2023. He became the first Polynesian wrestler to wear the tattoo and remains the only full-time contracted wrestler of Māori descent in a major professional wrestling promotion.
HENARE is a one-time NEVER Openweight Champion, two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion with Great-O-Khan, and one-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion.
