Irene - Anna Kalouta (Athens, September 29, 1918 - Athens, April 17, 2010), was a Greek actress, leading lady and troupe leader. Daughter of Stefanos Kalouta, from a family of tanners in Syros (which is why Syros has honored her and built her own dressing room there) and Katina Gerakoulakou from Mani. A graduate of the Ionian School for Girls, she studied piano and devoted herself to theater. At the same time, she was involved in choreography, directing and artistic direction.

Together with her sister Marika, the two "Kaloutakia", as they became known, received their baptism of fire at the theater of Marika Kotopouli and her husband Giorgos Helmis, who found roles for both girls in the performances they staged.

She appeared in 14 Greek films, while she made her theater debut at the age of 4, in Marika Kotopouli's troupe, in a prose play. Together with her sister Maria, they created the famous "Kaloutakia", child prodigies of that era, in all genres of musical theater.

She had participated in reviews by the most famous reviewers in operettas such as: "Glykia Nana", "Diavolopaido", "Baptist", "Modern Girls" etc. by Theophrastos Sakellaridis, "Woman of the Street", "Apachides of Athens", "The Pirates" etc. by Nikos Hadjiapostolou, in "The Bat" by Johann Strauss, in musical comedies: "He Loves Me, He Doesn't Love Me" by Gianoukakis - Ritsiardis, in plays such as "The Little Flower" by Horn, in prose "The Feast" by Horn, in comedies: "The Shepherdess's Lover", "Golfo", "Maria Pentagiotissa" and many others.

For 15 years he toured in Europe, America, Australia, Africa and New Zealand. She appeared at the "Salle de Gaveau" in Paris in 1950, at the "Carnegie Hall" in New York in 1954, at the "Palace Theatre" in London in 1968, etc.

She recorded many albums with her sister Maria in Greece and abroad. Indicatively: "M'apagē den m'apagē", "Gerakina", "Oi kerāsies", "I biručnē", "Vem - Vem". Her appearances on television and at various cultural events had not ceased until recently.

Anna Kalouta is said to have had a relationship with Lambros Konstantaras at a young age. She died on April 17, 2010 in Athens, at her home, after her health had deteriorated in recent months. She was buried at public expense on April 20, 2010 at the 1st Cemetery of Athens.
