Vasily Katanyan
Born: 1924-02-21
Of Armenian origin, Katanyan grew up in Tiflis (now Tbilisi). He was the director of the first Soviet panoramic film, "Spring Road" (1959).
He is the son of Vasily Abgarovich Katanyan.
