The Terran and Andromedean Empires have enjoyed a fragile peace for almost 100 years. That time is about to end.

The violent Kluduthu, kidnap Aurora and take her to their desert home planet because she holds a secret power which could wipe out all of humanity. She is able to escape, only to find herself in the middle of a war which has been going on for millions of years.
